I don't think that you really mean a "transfer lens" but rather a lens of
about 1/2" focal length.
Go find another lens of about 1" focal length and use that one instead of
the 1/2" focal length one.  The original lens on the camera was probably a 4
or 6mm focal lenth and the longer the focal length, the larger the mirror
will look.
