If any of the folks from the mirror lab are still on the list, perhaps
they can chime in here. Short of some equipment to test mirror surfaces
we can speculate for the next year. I think I remember that when Bryan
Greer had some surfaces tested for scratch/dig he paid some big bucks to
have a fairly small surface area tested. Key here is "Zambuto had wrote
theorized". The last word is key. Polishing past the point of any
real gain may be a safety margin he has come to feel comfortable with to
assure quality.
