I believe I mentioned a thickened mixture to go along with the slower
strokes.  Cold pressing overnight does not seem to be enough.

Not sure if the pitch is losing volatiles.  But the fix is to thoroughly
reheat the pitch bringing fresh pitch to the surface by heavy rechanneling
with a blunt metal or wood rod.
