I have a photocopy of Ellison's 1932 book, 'The Amateur's Telescope'. The book is a poor quality print job, the type is
not sharp, but it is legible. I will scan it & if a site like http://www.atmsite.org/ can post it, that would be great.
It will probably be about 4 megs; there are some photos but they are not good & the images will probably be as good in
B&W as in greyscale (for smaller filesize).
Certainly it would be better to scan an original copy.
During this thread, several people have mentioned finding very early ATM books. I wish they'd send a note about the
author & title. I have a few other old ATM titles in photocopy form, but tonight's not the night I can dig them out.
And Julio's idea is the best proposal I've heard in a long time; noting that it can be difficult to be certain about who
might own an old copyright. However, one can also worry too much.

> If anyone does find the book by Ellison (or any other ATM classic for that matter that is in the public domain) I volunteer to scan and digitize the text and re-do the illustrations so that the entire group can have access to it. I am a professor of Computer Science and have access to the technology to do this without much suffering.
