I checked the book and could not find explicit statement 
( in chapter 21.11) where to is curved side looking. 
The only place I get a hint about it is fig. 8.2 where
curved side is toward the mirror (objective).


Attempt to draw the curve from the equation in book
with A>0, B and C <0 resulted in curve in first quadrant
while with opposite signs curve was mirrored on x-axis
and is in fourth quadrant.

Will it make any optical difference in correction if either curved or flat
side of the given corrector is to the sky?
