[ATM] Designing a Nasmyth

With a clean slate, if you wanted to optimize the design for the smallest 
possible secondary, what would be the basic optical specs, say for a 32” 
diameter primary.

What might be the optimum focal ratio of the primary only?

What is the smallest diameter you can get away with?

I presume that the diagonal ( the third mirror ) would exit at some 
convenient height. ( for disability or public, no ladder use )

Anyone done one?
How difficult was it to figure the convex secondary?
How do you test the final figure on the convex secondary?

Any good sites out there with more info?
