[ATM] belt sander

after spending 27.5 hr in my 16.5 inch mirror blank I realized it is
tampered one side is 16.5 inch  the other is 16 inch I checked with a
coater and he said it could be coated but the large side up would have
ben better. has any one used a belt sander to remove glass. there is a
grove in the larger side 3/16 inch deep I would have to cut the entire
side down that far and grind the other side flat to switch sides. or just
for get it and keep going with the side I am on and get the 16 inch
mirror.
