[ATM] Hogging!!!

For  H O G G I N G,
   
  I have used:
   
  16 inch diameter concrete stepping stone
  Automotive brake drum
  Automotive flywheel
  Tin can
  plumbing pipe cap
  glass tool
  plaster tool
  diamond generator
   
  And probably some others over the years that I've forgotten. All worked well, some "weller" than others. The goal here is to remove material not figure the mirror so whatever you can grab that is appropriate is ... well, appropriate.
   
  Smaller device (using short strokes and high pressure) will be more agressive on a small scale, larger device using long strokes (up to 1/2 dia) will take longer but you'll end up more spherical. Again the goal is to remove material, pretty isn't necessary.

  ps... Favorite SECRET tool is the top post cap on a chain link fence to bevel the inside edges of a Cassegrain perforation.
