                You have it goin' on my friend. Always remember that is does 
not take complicated machinery to complete a task. The old mirrors were cast 
in moulds and many were never rounded.
Live and learn. I am not saying that these old mirrors are inferior, just 
that to finish them took many extra hours on the craftsman's part.   Round 
is good, What ever you use to hog out is fine., You can't hurt the glass 
disk now unless you drop it of the machine or smash it with a hammer. I 
would try all three of your choices and let everyone know which one worked 
best for you...experiment my friend, the fun starts NOW....... Good luck  as 
we say-- grind more , worry less...   Russ Jocoy
