Y. About your questions, I bought a rectangular block of ULE 5.75 x 9.4 x
1.25 inches,
directly from Corning NY back in October, 1999. I paid them $857 USD for it.
( BTW, their quote some time ago for a 32” x 3” thick blank was about
$16,400 usd. ) But I don’t know what current numbers prices would be.

The reason for using someone experienced is because I want something that
will be very sturdy & reliable ( for transport ); with a good collimation
system; and most important, will not mechanically distort/stress the glass,
therefore the precision. Maybe integrated heating/anti-dewing later.

Not sure what design people are using on their own larger custom sizes?
The circumference "can" with a small lip? or strong clips/jaws? ( not going
the adhesive route ). Thx.

Bob
