Hi Jarvis,

Thank you for details on first hand experience in  use of liquid flat and
its problems.
It is  useful   to hear from time to time comments like yours about  ideas
and methods buried , sometimes  lost, in archives.
Perhaps somebody will have a brain wave that will give them new life
in modern  circumstances or fresh arguments against.
Today it must be even more difficult to find vibration free environment than
it was years ago. And perhaps test results stored in computers can be 
subjected to
averaging  in order to cancel or diminish vibration caused deformations.
And as you suggested:
