[ATM] Portrait of a giant 42 inch Dobsonian telescope in Germany

The thickness of the F/4.5 primary is noteworthy, only 56 mm! It is
not clear from what I have seen thus far if this started flat and
was ground to F/4.5 or if the original glass was slumped to F/4.5.
Dr. Dominic is curious if Dr. Erhard Hänssgen is an astronomer?
