Those are quite sufficient to do the job. Put 12V or so on the
coils in the propeer order and it will rotate. If nothing else
is at hand for a power supply, take a 12V transformer and put one
coil across the output AC and put a large (470uF or so) cap
between the other winding and the output of the transformer and
it should start turning.
You CAN use less voltage if that is what you have. It just won't
have the full power that the full voltage will have.

Does anyone know what language this is? I think its Hungarian.

Léptetőmotor I. + bordásszíj+szíjfeszítő

*800 Ft / darab *
*7.5 fok/lépés, bipoláris (4 kivezetés), 28 ohm, 12V
típusa: 42SIN-15K8NA QH4-4039
motor átm:42 mm
motor magasság:16 mm
tengely átm:3 mm
tengely hossz: 10 mm

4 db, csak egyben eladó!!!*

It describes a típusa: 42SIN-15K8NA QH4-4039 stepper motor that I
ripped out
of a printer. It drove the print head. I'm thinking of using in
my
Telescope making somehow, but I can't find any specs on it,
except this. I
think I have figured out everything except

Its got a nylon reduction gear of about 10:1.

I have another stepper about the same size from the printer too,
its a
M42SP-7 QH4035 It drove the platten. I found the datasheet on
it from
Mitsumi.

Maybe I could use this for a motorized Foucault tester? Its a
little small
to use for my 12.5" Dob mount... Any ideas?
