Thanks for info. I will search for what HAMs have done with imaging
payloads. I had not seriously considered going above FAA airspace
because out on my land the view is already so remarkable at
9000 feet.
My reasoning about the cell phone camera was simply that being
garbage I can get an infinite supply of used ones for free,
making them in principle disposable. Much more work to assemble
something valuable you need to retrieve after it has spent
time above FAA airspace.
Any tips/clues about how HAMs go about retrieving these without
a long journey or are the HAM balloons disposable?
