Francis,
I too am a big fan of Old English or Irish Folk. One of my favorite albums is John Renbourn‘s "The Lady and the Unicorn”. Of course The Pentangle (Basket of Light) is right in there also. Steeleye Span’s Alison Gross (must be played amplified and loud) Also Clannad and Loreena McKennitt.
