[ATM] music/aging ATMers

I am an ATMer and an amateur musician.  I'm 64, youngish for an ATMer, maybe.  I joined the hobby around the age of fifty when I realized I couldn't afford to buy a bigger mirror.
I have mixed feelings about the "aging" of amateur astronomy.  It seems nobody under the age of fifty can function without constant music; the enjoyment of silence being completely foreign to them.
Star parties are about the only place left where silence still exists (well, OK, libraries).  I fear that bringing young people into amateur astronomy will bring in loud, raucous music.  If that happens, I will have to give up observing and stick to glass pushing.
