Subject: [ATM] Sun Test During Rough Grinding

Hello all,
It may have been mentioned previously. What about the flashlight
test? You don't need any large equipment like the sun or clear weather, or
to make a template, or a spherometer

Hi All

Finally got my finger out and started pushing glass again so now I'm an
ATMer again I can now stop lurking and try to contribute to the list.

The way I learned, from books, was to used the straight edge/feeler gauge
test for hogging out with the chordal stroke then use the flashlight test or
Sun test to home in to the final focal length during rough and fine
grinding.

Neil
