[ATM] MOM or not MOM

Vladmir,

I suppose that you are correct. Maybe I'm just a tad bit lazy. Lately, I
have not even been pushing glass. I get home at the end of the day
exhausted. I sit down and watch the Yankees play baseball on TV.

Tomorrow I am going to Henry Draper's Estate again, this time with some guys
from the anique telescope society to scan some letters from Alvan Clark and
Brashear to Draper. While his little brother powered grinding machine is
long gone (the original "Draper" machine) perhaps I will get reinspired to
resume mirror making activities.

I am in the process of making a large project that involves six optical
surfaces. I retreived the primary mirror and tool from New Mexico on my
recent trip there.

I am making a 12.5 inch f/12 Stevick Paul (Yes 150 inch focal length
unobstructed) that will be used in conjunction with a Czerny Turner
spectrometer hopefully for research purposes when the last of my seven my
kids are grown and I can slow down professionally. (Maybe I can give up my
bankruptcy and commercial litigation practices and concentrate on the easier
practice of criminal law).

I am also in the process of making a very large German Equartorial pipe
mount. Three inch pipe fittings, the thing is a monster. It will be as my
friend, Allen Hall says, semi portable. If you have a semi, it is portable.
David Harbour spoke very passionately and persuasively in his well reasoned
agrument against the design last week when we spoke by telephone, but I will
not change the design. Hopefully, I will be able to post a YouTube video
about it in the not too distant future, but I have burnt out two cameras
making the videos so far.

Has anyone heard from Domenic lately?

Best to all of youse guys and gals.
