Hi ATMers;
This is a bit off topic [way off], but you guys will know the right people.

I teach astronomy and calculus in Lathrop, CA, and my kids are going to perform the Eratosthenes Experiment to determine the circumference of the Earth. I am looking for a school who would be interested in performing this with us. If any of you guys know a teacher who would like to have their class measure the altitude of the Sun at a specific moment, please have them contact me. For the period of time that our class is in session, the Sun needs to be at an azimuth from Lathrop, CA of between 150 and 180 degrees "or so", putting the location of the school in the areas of Fresno, Bakersfield, L.A., San Diego, Yuma, Phoenix, and perhaps Seattle, Vancouver, Juneau. They can contact me at baldjeff at comcast.net, astrobald at gmail.com, jbaldwin at musd or baldjeff58 at yahoo.com.

Thanks, and again, sorry for the bandwidth intrusion.
