I got to hear him at a star party once. And yes, he's a character with some unorthodox views. I certainly enjoyed the talk, tho'.

I personally enjoy listening to alternative viewpoints, I'll listen to NPR and Fox and MSNBC, I could be caught listening to the fellow on the local religious radio station to the fellow who insists that the world is ending in April of this year - take that, you 2012 Mayan calendar goobers! 8^)

To me, this isn't even about religion. It's about people with differing views who want to confront you in a public place. And that's rude. I put a lot into my presentations, and I expect people to be polite and listen. If a person wants to disagree, that's fine, They can do it in a civilized way, and when I'm asking for questions.

This discussion has probably run it's course. I'm glad that Richard brought it up because it is a real issue, I'm glad the group owners let us work through it. We might as well get back to grinding. Springs a-coming and we need to get our projects finished so we can look at the Virgo cluster.
