Thanks for responding, Guy. I won't argue the merits and demerits of a
method. At least now there is another choice. What I really want to know is
how it works on different printers. If things don't print as expected, there
is something I need to fix.

I donno, thanks, but after printing out the mask for my 16.5", it seems to
me
that cutting and pasting all those pieces together and then gluing them onto
a
piece of oaktag, and cutting again, is a lot more difficult than using a
calculator or spreadsheet to calculate the zones, then using a beam compass
to
make all the circles on the oaktag, then cutting them out just once.

I've made a few improvements in my Couder mask printing program. One of the
improvements was in getting better accuracy in the printout. You may not
notice this change at all. But then again, I may have broken it. My biggest
headache was in drawing the right hand edge of the enclosing rectangle of
the useable print area. Please try it and let me know if anything doesn't
look right. e.g. Is the print preview the same as the printout? Just print
one page > 0 for this test. It works on my printer which is a Laser Jet 4
(600 x
600 dpi).
I have only recently put a link to CouderPrn on my web site. Go here and
look near the bottom of the page.
