Short answer is yes, you can.

Longer is that you'll have to get the tools seated with each other, due  You'll want to use the one tool for the entire process from hogging to fine grinding,  But quite doable. I've never ground with a subdiameter tool, so there are people better suited than me to answer regarding the particular strokes needed. I would assume with the size difference in this case, it wouldn't be much different.
