Jan,
Steve Jaynes at Research Service Co. in Wilmington,
MA has a chemical stripping process that works on
MgF2 hardcoats but considers it a trade secret. He
might be willing to do the stripping for small money
and save you the drudgery of repolishing. Many
times, tiny pieces of hardcoat tear away and cause
bad scratches that necessitate regrinding.
